Oh well, I really did want David Morrisey but he seems like a nice chap. I'll admit that I've not seen him in anything but certainly the clips they chose seemed to suggest he has a presence that belies his years.
I'm glad it wasn't any of the other contenders that were bandied about.

I'm not sure about Matt Smith but I'll make my mind up when I see his episodes in 2010.
RE: DW Confidential - they completely changed the billed episode by the looks of things, as the TV listings said it was called The Ten Doctors and was narrated by Simon Pegg, and the programme that actually went out was called The Eleventh Doctor and was narrated by Anthony Head.
I suppose that was to throw everyone off the scent until the announced it will reveal who the new Doctor is at the last moment the other day.

I believe so, I suppose it was to stop the press snooping around trying to find out who it was before it was officially announced & stop them priniting it just before the show aired.

I think it's a good choice. If people percieve him as 'unknown' at the moment then that works well for the new producers.
I think Paterson Joseph would've made a good Doctor, but he tends to play very strong characters with few visible vulnerablities - perhaps he's become typecast as that; he is also rather better known than Matt Smith, so is probably more expensive and difficult to tie down to a contract of more than one series!

Yes, well, I cant get on Outpost Gallifrey at the moment, way too much traffic so I though I'd update it whilst I had the time

Yes, well, I cant get on Outpost Gallifrey at the moment, way too much traffic so I though I'd update it whilst I had the time

I agree, as I said I was gearing up for PJ but this relatively unknown name makes it all the more interesting
Unfortunately some people have comment on his looks already
what they seem to forget though is that only David, Peter and to an extent Paul have been considered the "lookers" (I wouldn't know being a straight man & all ) although I do expect a slight drop in viewers because some females (and possibly men) will turn off because of his looks

Indeed it didn't I imagine if the Patrons had trouble getting on there tonight.
I expect people on there to already dislike him though, probably the ones who say he doesn't look anything like Tennant
