I think greg's basing his thought on the fact that David Tennant narrated the documentary before Doctor Who was on in 2005. So based on that thought there's the choice of Simon Pegg, Mark Gatiss or Anthony Head.

I don't think they are likely to choose Simon Pegg as the next Doctor. Many people remember him as playing the Editor in the story about the 'The Mighty Jagrafess of the Holy Hadrojassic Maxarodenfoe' (I had to get that in) .
However, that never stopped Freema appearing as the his companion after playing another (although less important) character in the Series 2 finale.

Peter Davison hold the record for that still, he was announced as Tom's replacement during Full Circle (I believe the 1st episode which was transmitted on 25th October 1980) first episode shown (excluding the regeneration at the end of Logopolis) 4th January 1982
Great news though, although it gives people about 14 months to go from liking him to hating him & back

Pegg was asked long before Tennant's announcement & he said he wouldn't like to do it, and something along the lines of not wanting to be the one who screws it up after Tennant
