New name circulating according to DWF:

As well as Morrisey & Joseph, Chiwetel Ejiofor is apparently now the front runner

However, as always, these things are still just rumours so don't take it as Gospel.

As well as Morrisey & Joseph, are doubtful well what I said earlier! im sure there not started looking yet I believe filming start mid next year

All I can say is that according to the spoiler hounds, this one seems more plausable

I think there should actully try looking a new doctor, saying that RTD WAS In the metro today, and he seems to give it away that SOME BIG and dramatic will happen to him to do the change over.

Well I thought The Next Doctor was a good story this year, a bit hammy towards the end but good fun none the less, a marked improvement on Voyage of the Damned. Turned off my telly a bit too quick after the program, was there a Torchwood trailer after the show?

I must be one of the few people that liked Voyage Of The Damned, the one I can't bear to watch again is The Runaway Bride. Catherine Tate is just too shrill through most of it and it's like watching her character Lauren. I really enjoyed tonight's episode, I'm glad that is was more restrained than Voyage Of The Damned it gave the characters more of a chance to establish themselves. But in the last 10 minutes, RTD just had to have one of his usual over the top scenes didn't he? Very Happy

A good episode I thought.

Originally there was only going to be four between now & next Christmas. However there are now five between now & very early January (possibly New Years Day) 2010.

Apparently there's one in Easter, one in the summer & two over the festive period, one on Christmas Day & one on New Years Day beign the final two parter for Tennant.

The cameo, as we all saw, was just a rumour which brings us back to square one as to who the next Doctor will be, unfortunately.

As for The Next Doctor, I rather liked it, a nice little tale with a great support cast & I rather liked the Cyber King, I became a 10 year old again when that turned up Laughing

The Next Doctor - Average but still way better then last years dire Poseidon Adventure. It's be interesting to see what Moffat does with the Christmas Specials, I think he'll aim much lower.

Yes not a bad episode considering the whole diversion of the "next doctor".

I did think David Morrisey was EXCELLENT though and I think he'd make an ideal replacement for Tennant. I was going to say that this role kind of rules him out as a choice for the next doctor but there are always ways around these things. It'd be good if he chose to regenerate as him because of Tennant's "If anyone was going to be the Doctor, I'm glad it was you." as a sort of tribute to him.

I see while I'm not the only one who enjoyed Voyage of the Damned last year, I'm outnumbered considerably. The Next Doctor was brilliant, and I thought David Morrissey was excellent in the role. He reminded me a bit of Tom Baker's Doctor, even though he wasn't technically the Doctor.

No the only good thing I can say about this is that it was better than last years', which isn't saying much at all. It was terrible. Most of the criticism I have of the last finale can be reused here. Senseless, hasty, **** science, giant cyberman. And how did the Doctor defeat our terrifying villain? He "opened her mind", then she screamed and the world was saved. Yeah, ok then. Hopefully when RTD goes we won't get anymore of this over emotional **** that he keeps producing.

Woah Ronnie, say what you mean Wink Laughing

The Christmas specials have always been a funny affair, I think the best thing to do is watch them after a few mince pies & a few glasses of wine & you should enjoy it no end Very Happy
