And not the current Who topic, but seeing there are a few confuddled forums wondering the names of songs composed for the series just broadcast... for those unaware, a listing of the music from the upcoming Doctor Who Prom [July 27th on Radio 3] has been released:

# Murray Gold Concert Prologue* (3 mins)
# Copland Fanfare for the Common Man (3 mins)
# Murray Gold All The Strange Strange Creatures* (4 mins)
# Mark-Anthony Turnage The Torino Scale (UK premiere) (4 mins)
# Holst The Planets - Jupiter (8 mins)
# Murray Gold The Doctor Forever* (4.30 mins)
# Murray Gold Rose* (1.30 mins)
# Murray Gold Martha v The Master* (4.30 mins)
# Murray Gold Music of the Spheres (including theme original)* (7.30 mins)
# Wagner Die Walküre - The Ride of the Valkyries (5 mins)
# Murray Gold The Daleks & Davros* (8 mins)
# Murray Gold Donna, Girl in Fireplace, Astrid* (4 mins)
# Prokofiev 'Montagues and Capulets' from Romeo and Juliet (5 mins)
# Murray Gold This is Gallifrey* (3.30 mins)
# Murray Gold Doctor's Theme / Song for Freedom * (5.30 mins)
# Murray Gold Doomsday* (5 mins)
# Murray Gold Song for Ten* (4 mins)
# Murray Gold Doctor Who Theme* (1.30 mins)

And it's answered the one I was most confused about, and it's known as "Song For Freedom", not the Ood Song or anything similar like most are naming it. Laughing

A bit of set dressing and two different 'locations'...

I thought that Underground station looked a little odd!

If I didn't know this was all filmed in Cardiff, I'd have sworn that tube station was the Queen Vic, They admit themselves to redressing and re using old sets, getting particularly familiar treatment is Torchwood sets being used on Doc Who and vice versa.

And in the Silence In The Library/Forest Of The Dead two parter, the room where the little girl lived was also Tosh's flat in Torchwood.

Oh right, I never saw Torchwood so that one's news to me.

It was quite common for them to do it in the old series too, however this was more location shots rather than anything else. However Ark In Space & Revenge Of The Cybermen had virtually the same sets for the majority of it, they fitted the storyline around it for Revenge but it was mainly due to budget restraints.

Yes and in Partners In crime when the Doctor and Donna are underground and going in the "cupboard" where that big computer thing is, I am certain that is the same corridor used in "The Runaway Bride" when they climb ontop of the Thames Barrier!

The underground chamber with metal gantries and stairways seen in Rose (where the Nestene Consciousness lived) was used again in New Earth as the chamber in the hospital where the artifically-grown humans were stored.

Listened in on the Prom this morning. It was epic. Loved it, although the interval act was dire, The cutaway was a bit of panto fun.

Let's just hope that in 2010 when Series Five airs, Doctor Who has a revamped title sequence!
