Would you like to explain that?
just a hunch. i've always had a feeling you dislike any of the dramaish bits and the ending in particular was very much so that
I'm not sure what you mean, but okay. I'll try and explain why I didn't like the episode. Davros only had a short amount of time to be brilliant, we saw glimpses of his frenzied, evil rants but it didn't really work. The two Doctors thing was rubbish to me, as was the Rose ending. It was cheesy.
Last week's episode was spectacular and after that this was a let down. The regeneration bit at the start was so anticlimatic, they could have milked that a bit more and made it a bit more plausible how/why he turned back into Ten. It happened very fast. DoctorDonna didn't work for me and I didn't like Donna's exit, it wasn't worthy of her character, who has been brilliant throughout. Why was Mickey free to roam Earth again, yet Rose was banished back to the alt. universe? Where was Pete Tyler? Not a mention of him.
One thing I loved though and that was K9!
No one spoiled that, lovely. All in all the various cliffhangers were resolved too easily and quickly so it lacked gravitas and momentum. I dunno, I'm not very good at explaining things. I thought maybe the speculation made me expect more from this week's but really I just think it was too patchy and badly paced.
It's the usual story of RTD creating a spectacular build up to a finale then ballsing it up in the final episode, really. But it's just my opinion and I appreciate and accept I'm in a minority here (please don't hate me more than you already do because I didn't like it, Hyma!

I found it very funny, after all of the speculation and hype that it was resolved in 20 seconds - and I think it was meant to be a satirical anti-climax.

RTD got people talking and generated buzz, mission accomplished if you ask me.

Fantastic finale. Worthy of the hype and such an interesting way out of the 'regeneration cliffhanger'; it actually formed a crucial thread which ran through all of RTD's series by the creation of the hybrid character. It reminded us of the protagonist's development over the last four series.
You have to admire a writer who can pull together so many characters around what was essentially a Dalek sub-plot. The real story here was the revelation of the Doctor's character to himself, his effect on others, the bond he has with his companions, his vulnerability, and finally his eternal loneliness.
Catherine Tate's portrayal of Donna was remarkably convincing; her ability to carry the viewer with her emotions surpassed anything I'd expected throughout the whole series, and especially tonight.
Alot has been concluded, so I wonder what RTD has lined up for the specials next year. The Christmas episode certainly looks interesting from the teaser.

I absolutely loved that, my favourite series ending since Parting Of Ways.
Julian Bleech was spot on as Davros, was I alone in being glad that the Dalek Supreme didn't open up to reveal someone else inside?
The stars of this series are definately Catherine Tate & Bernard Cribbins, they have been superb throughout this entire series and it's such a shame that they'll never been in the series again
I liked the second 10th Doctor as well, he seemed to have that mad stare in his eyes & I also liked the Doctor Donna thing.
For me this whole story was great from start to finish, only one thing let it down.... K-9 got 30 bloody seconds
Damn it I was hoping he was going to be in it more.
Superb, loved it & the most important thing is that the kids & parents would have loved it which was it's main aim
9.5/10, bring on the Christmas Special, however I wonder how the parents are going to explain to the little 'uns that they can't watch Torchwood when it comes back next year
EDIT:
a few people on OG Forums are saying it's the worst episode ever
yeah right, I'd rather watch this again that ever see Underworld or Time & The Rani ever again

I'm not really a fan of new Doctor Who but the last 2 episodes of series 4 were great!

Glad they extended it by 15 minutes or so and I liked the fact that the final 10 minutes or so were used to tie up any loose ends. It seemed to bring all 4 series together and bring them to a conclusion.
But I didn't like the way CT's character ended her run as assistant - didn't do the character justice and seemed a bit of an anti-climax. 13 weeks of adventure and she ended it none the wiser with her original personality. I would've liked CT to continue for the Christmas special and/or return for one/more of the specials next year.
Quite a poignant ending though.....can't believe that this series is already over though

The fact that Tennant is staying is making news as well.

Yeah, they had a similar one up before the show stating that it was closed due to special preparation for the finale, they seem to have disabled everyones avatars, not sure what else they've done. It does take several attempts to post on there at present
Sadly it seems that there are more negative than positive comments on there although the poll says otherwise.
I think the problem is some still keep trying to compare the days of Troughton/Pertwee/Baker to today's show, the thing is the show has moved on so much since the original run. I mean honestly do people really rather we were back to the days of McCoy?
