The Timelords intervene - remember the timeline HAS changed when Dalek Khan transported himself back into the Timewar and saved Davros!

AN EPIC CLIFFHANGER THERE THEN!!!!!
HAS THE DOCTOR REGENERATED THEN???
IF SO, who is taking David Tennant's place?
What I want to know is that I read all these forums with hints and rumours about what may be happening and noone has mentionned that was happening tonight!!! I thought David Tennant was going to be in the specials next year? Doesn't look like it judging by that ending tonight!!!
WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON??????

The BBC Doctor Who website says there'll be a be trailer for Journey's End just before 1.00pm tomorrow and will be on the website after that.

So the whole 'Timewar' can of worms has been opened then? That means that more Daleks could come out of the Timewar (so they could return, even if the Doctor destroys them all this series) and the Doctor is not alone......
This end-of-series must be the best yet!

Which timelords? The Doctor is the last of the timelords...isn't he!
so do you not remember the Doctor explaining that Davros died in the first year of the war. That has changed - so what else has changed? Also the Doctors Isn't the last timelord, anyway, as there could be a few more renegades in the universe, just like how the Master hid!!!
edited bit - lets put it this way the Whoniverse is nothing without Gallifrey so had/has to return at some point - whether it be a good or bad point!

You think? Doctorwhoforums(OG I belive) has had it's record for most people online smashed. Somewhere in the 2100's And watching Confidential, RTD kept very tight lipped about the ending, seen the dalek shot again. It did look like just a graze. Perhaps it is just a repair system. (I clutch in hope but not much)
But if someone else does turn up at the start of next week and they do manage to reverse the process, what would that mean for the temp doctor, Join the Richard E Grant brigade?

Amazing!! The Digital Spy and Outpost Gallifrey forums have gone into meldown! It could have something to do with tonight's ending!!

HA
I enjoyed it tonight as it had Michael Brandon (Dempsey and Makepeace) in it.

Very dramatic tonight! Hopefully Tennant will not fully regenerate and stay the same, but it was bloody scary! Fabulous episode that kept you hanging all the way through, and all the acting was superb!
Roll on next week.......

The regeneration has clearly got to be a red herring, to lead viewers up the garden path. Some sort of weird plot device will have the regeneration revoked, I'm sure.
We've all heard about there not being a "proper series" (13 x 45-mins) during 2009, whilst David Tennant's also doing other things. If he was actually leaving now, then we wouldn't have heard about all of that. And his departure would have bound to been leaked/reported by now, along with who his replacement would be.
Also, remember in the "library" episodes, River Song indicated that she's not seen the 10th incarnation "this young" before, but clearly has seen an "older" 10th Dr before, rather than having never met the 10th incarnation at all before.
It seems fairly obvious that the "untelevised adventures" that the 10th Dr is destined to have with the "earlier" River Song can't have happened inbetween any of the Series 4 post-"library" episodes. So, the Dr can't possibly regenerate into an 11th incarnation yet!

This thought has also occurred to me.
Yes, if we do indeed get a temporary 11th Dr for part of next week's episode, will it mean that that actor is obliged to be the 11th Dr when the proper time comes...?
I actually think... "not necessarily".
I imagine that at exactly what time in the Dr's life his 10th regeneration occurs may well impact upon what his 11th incarnation looks/acts like. So, there's no reason why whatever the premature 11th Dr looks/acts like would necessarily be the same as when the Dr's 10th regeneration eventually happens "at the right time".
It would be be an extremely interesting "what if" to give us a temporary 11th incarnation that isn't the same as the "proper" 11th incarnation that we'll eventually end up with whenever DT eventually decides to move on.
I wonder whether the next episode will actually dare to do something that interesting, or just go for the cop-out of revoking the regeneration before it even finishes. The latter would be a bit of a disappointment and missed-opportunity, I feel.

But as I've asked before, if the Doctor does change into someone else, and then changes back into David's incarnation, does this mean that when David does finally leave we'll already know the identity of the new Doctor.
