Now I was doing a google search today, as I sometimes at times like these when I'm bored out of my head, and I came across two sites that took me back for different reasons. Quite how both turned up in the same search is beyond me but anyway. The first site isn't worth mentioning as it's probably been done a thousand times before.
Now I don't know if you remeber, about 3 or 4 years ago, agaion after the result of a google search I unearthed what appeared to be Yorkshire Televisions Graphic Departments website (Ballistixx.com or some such name?) which contain both used and unused graphics for the GMG regions at the time, including a "new" Granada logo, as now seen on this page over at the TV room: http://tvfeatures.thetvroomplus.com/feature-29.html
The result of today search seems to have unearthed what appears to be what is left of the YTV Graphics department, including those above images, and indeed more. So there's 8 pictures from the "new Granada logo" ident, as well as how they were made/ideas behined them etc.
Anyway, the website is http://www.oktane.co.uk/ thought you lot might be interested.
It's includes more unseen idents, including idents based on the GMG purple endcaps. Follow this link and click along to page 11.

And for anyone who's interested, the other site I found was this one
