Awful, wasn't it? The technical standards were fine, but those presenters were so wooden! The pranks simply didn't work, and what was the point of having two completely unconnected guests on the celebrity bed, doing two completely unconnected interviews at the same time? And the Genius Cru interview was embarassingly inept. The supposedly humourous exchanges between the presenters didn't even raise a titter in the studio and looked horribly stilted on screen, that martial arts bit had no point to it at all... the BBC scoured the country for talented youngsters to make a TV programme and that's what they came up with? Dear oh dear oh dear.
I thought the technical side was being done by professionals? Maybe I'm wrong...
I thought the series was quite good when you saw the youngsters looking around TVC and in different studios and galleries etc. - I found that bit quite interesting.
I liked it when they were at the final stage of selection at the BBC's training centre in Evesham. It was quite warming to see such talented youngsters having real flair for particular crafts.
I felt sorry for some of them though, the way the camera kept going straight into their faces while they were trying to Direct or do the cameras - must have been quite off-putting and surely didn't allow them to do the best they were capable of.
