So Revision3 was just bought by Discovery Communications for around $30m http://revision3.com/blog/2012/05/03/discovery-communications-to-acquire-top-digital-video-provider-revision3/

What's interesting about this is that although Discovery is allowing them to run as they are, the CEO of Revision3 said in an interview with TubeFilter (www.tubefilter.com/2012/05/03/revision3-ceo-discovery-acquired-interview/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+TilzyTVNews+%28Tilzy.TV+All+Updates%29) that they are bound to converge their properties.

This may become a blueprint for future acquisitions of IPTV stations - especially with the funding YouTube has put into them recently.

Not sure what this will mean for Brian Brushwood who does Scam School, and also works on shows at TWiT.

News Corp brought Channel Flip so these online netcasters are finally being recognised!

Discovery.com already syndicates Scam School, so I presume it'll work in his favour. TWiT just cancelled one of his shows, and NSFW is apparently not doing so well.

NSFW show is a weird show for a niche audience. (I am a fan and contributor)

The difficulties I mention are if Discovery ask more of Brian, or have issue with him appearing on shows outside of Discovery and their Rev3 sections.

Game On did not get the audience, and was a little out of TWiT's remit. But the "Casual Encounters" was great! Leo Laporte A.K.A LL Cool L
