Haven't seen it myself yet but this has launched today with a more unified look across the six channels based on the rebrand their Nordic channels had:
I did mention that the OSP during the programming changed last Wednesday to the more unified look, but this looks quite nice being aligned. I thought it was quite odd when HGTV took on a half dplay style look for the trailers, but it makes more sense now.
One thing I did notice is that within the last week with the old trailers and the new OSP on the shows, is that no IPPs were present except for Quest Red's old one which of course didn't align with the new DOG position and promo text.
Have any of the idents changed? Not in a position to check this myself at the moment.
Food Network has new idents, Quest Red has altered theirs to include the new stacked logo along with its new purple/burgundy colour... rather than
red
, other than those they're all the same.
As with the new endboards, each channel has a new animation for the information during the trailer each in the same font.
Disappointed with Discovery for this move since the channels already had amazing OSP.
For me the (girly, IMO) font works with Quest Red and Really, but I don’t like the look of it on any of the others, they could just stick a “Part of the Quest family” onto the idents and people would know they are related, not by butchering their branding for the benefit of DPlay like they have done.
