Yes, as I just found out, its the amount of time from when you register your key, for example I've just registered my one month key and it runs out on Xmas Eve! Doh!

Never mind, I'll pop a cheque in the post in the next couple of weeks, I think things are starting to get back to normal now here postwise, but strangely we are getting some old post mixed with more recent post!

I'm thinking I migth just wait until February to renew - I'll only be using it for like 2 weeks after it runs out before I go home to my parents' so I might wait til I get back to renew.

This is a genuine question, I'm not being malicious or anything...

What is the point in paying for a TV guide? What is wrong with looking at GuardianUnlimited TV or the Radio Times site? Is it really that crucial to know what's on the television?!

I use it because ...

I get to choose which channels I have listed; I don't have to wade through dozens of channels I don't have to find the few that I do
It remembers my settings, so I don't have to select an ITV region or channel pack every time (like on a website)
It's always there straight away, I don't have to wait for it to load (like a website)
It automatically updates itself with schedule changes in the backgound (paper TV guides can't do that)
Many parts are open source, allowing you to create your own channels (for example there's a channel for my uni radio station which I made) and import others that you wouldn't find all together in one place anywhere else.
I watch TV through my PC so it's in the same place; It doesn;t clutter up my desk like a paper TV guide would
I can mark my favourite programmes, ones I want to watch, tape, and have it remind me that certain programmes are on.
It's only £6.99 a year - that's 13p a week.

Digiguide has it's advantages over things like that - for example magazines don't remind you when a programme is on, do they? and the only time you can get two weeks worth of listings in a TV magazine is at Xmas... and for the amount you spend on Digiguide it's cheaper than buying, say, a bottle of wine every day for a year! (That's the example I used to persuade my Dad - lol!) We still get things like the Radio Times though because my parents don't have a clue how to use things like Digiguide or even the on-screen EPG! We also have the guides from the newspaper as a backup just in case the RT goes missing!

They also have really good support forums for when things don't quite work (but this is rare).
You can choose more than one BBC/ITV region if you live in overlap areas. On most listings websites you can only choose one.
