After much persuasion from this forum, DigitalSpy and NTHellworld, I have just decided to download the latest trial version of DigiGuide... particularly as the NTL Radio Times has been caught up in the backlog due to the postal strike for the past couple of weeks!
Was just wondering how much it would cost for the annual registration after my 30 days are up as I saw a link to that information but didn't look at it.
First impressions of Digiguide - wow! Excellent layout with all the channel logos etc... And nice to see you can customise it to your region and selected platform (got all the correct channel numbers too!)
I'd like to hear what other peoples experiences of Digiguide are please!
I've been using DigiGuide since version 4, and have registered it for the last 3 years (the only piece of software I've ever registered and not try to get around doing which says a lot for my respect for it). ISTR that I paid £6.99 for the year, there are also deals where you can register for more than 1 year and protect yourself from price rises. Well worth the money.
Just a quick question... Why am I only getting listings for a few channels... I selected NTL ex-CWC digital... it's given me all the right channel numbers but I can only seem to get listings for 1 of the Sky Sports channels, and 2 of the Movie channels... Is there something I might've done wrong so I don't get all the channels or can Digiguide only put a selection of channels on there?
DigiGuide is a great program and offers some very detailed information on programmes, probably offering more info than the likes of the TV Times & Radio Times. One thing I have noticed since later on last month that the terrestrial channel updates are 1 day behind. I registered this problem on the DigiGuide forums and a member of staff at DigiGuide insisted that they only give us listings for the terrestrial channels up too 14 days in advace. This is true but now we only get 13 days listings. The staff at DigiGuide say that you have too include the current day, but in the past we always used to get the full 14 days listings.
But the quality of DigiGuide is great and easy to follow. I am thinking of upgrading to the new version of DigiGuide which has just recently been released which offers many new features.

I wouldn't worry about the templates, just go into 'choose your channels' and pick what you like. If they haven't listed all the channels on your cable company, then go to 'all uk and ireland channels' to get a list of all of their channels (you'll have to manually enter EPG numbers then though).
OK, I've sorted all the channels out now and it's currently updating the listings... Thanks for your help and all your opinions so far!
Of course I asked my dad if he could pay the yearly subscription and being the old fashioned person that he is he said "What's wrong with the Radio Times and all the TV Guides in the newspapers?" lol! I'll persuade him somehow! It's not like I'm asking for £7 a day!
I agree with the comments about DigiGuide and have been a registered user for about 3 years myself, I find it particulary useful for the search facility, advance lisitngs and reminders.
Although, even with Digiguide, telextext and a weekly copy of the Radio Times, (which I buy for the articles, to save on printing ink and to leave on my sofa, next to the remote) I still manage to totally miss some programmes!
You'll also notice James, that DigiGuide carries radio listings and custom channels are available on the website for anything they don't list.

Indeed, my praise, and my promotion of Digiguide to a friend was based on the exact same premise, especially after their extended VideoPlus rangle with the US company.
I'd used myDigiguide for a year or two, and when it went subscription, I decided it was time for the whole programme. Digiguide provides excellent value for money, and a great service.
I've downloaded the traial version, but can only get listings for all channels until the end of november, where as other forus have said that they currently have listings up showing christmas schedules. Will I have to register for these?
Digiguide is the only program I've ever registered and is well worth the money. I have all my reminders and stuff customised so it talks to me right as the show is about to start.
The thing I'd love to see is a feature to actually turn the TV on for you to avoid having to get up.

It's becasue your trial is for 30 days so you only get listings for 30 days. My year's sub expires at the end of November so that's when I have listings up until (for the channels that provide them, namely Sky and Discovery).
