It's raised awareness of a severe shortage of donors in Holland. It's got everyone talking about the issue. Tacky it may be, but it's certainly done the job it set out to do.

There have been many cases in history where something sickening or awful has to happen to make people open their eyes. Trust me, things will change now. This will get people thinking and considering organ donation.

Fantastic stunt, Endemol are doing something right for once.

I agree, Endemol seem to have discovered a social conscience. Only they could have convinced people that this was a genuine show to start with and therefore raise the issue in the public's awareness.

Absolutely brilliant stunt from start to finish. And everyone's a winner.

1. A very important issue has been raised in a tabloid way, the only way to get people's attention.
2. Endemol have their cake and eat it by being seen to have a social conscience, while also attracting millions of viewers.

Genius.

don't understand how the law can dictate that it can only be friends or family who can donate, and if they're not compatible you're stuffed Mad .

What is the chance of having a best mate who happens to have a compatible kidney should you need a transplant Confused

Bet they'd soon change the laws if it was some government official was in need of a kidney and none if his friends or family matched Wink
