Out of interest how did the shopping channel's like 'QVC' and 'Shop!' announce the News from the USA and how did they do the 3 minutes of silence?

From memory, QVC were displaying a slide saying about the 3 min silence because of the things that had happened in the US, with an American flag in the background.

these shopping channels i think are on a loop so the presenters cant say now heres the 3 minute silennce to mark all the people who died in the terrist attacks. So it would be easier to just put a message up.

I can't speak for others, but at that time of day QVC is normally always live though, I don't know if they would have gone straight into a slide from the ident at the top of the hour or what.

I suspect they put the slide up before the ident.

I didn't check others, but MTV2 was showing a slide saying about it too I think.

Well I have NTL Digital and every single channel (except for the NTL Info Channel) was showing either a caption or the 3 minute silence from across Europe.
It must be the first time this has ever happened - even when Diana died this didn't happen.
