Glen Thomsett (sp)

It's Glen Thompsett, with a "p".

He definitely wasn't on tonight.

You're so right Nick, Thompsett with a 'p' and yes I did see him reading the news, rather well I thought on Meridian. So it couldn't have been Glen making such an awful gaff in Continuity.
I think you'll find the 'No wet Wonderfoam' ad is at least three years old and selling well, hence it's still running!!

Yawn....... second time ...... the announcer on evenings last night was Senior Chappie Graham Bannerman

Errrrrr, yes, Steve.

Where are you coming from?

I reckon the esteemed Mr Stand and I both recognise Graham's voice.

Indeed so and heaven forbid I was making the assumption you were both 'mutton' Laughing

Just referring to the fact that Mr Stand added 'So it couldn't have been Glen making such an awful gaff in Continuity' when indeed the clarification had been made earlier in the thread..... just the old school teacher in me coming out!

Now no back answering Harvey and get on with your lines Shocked

Does Mr Stand recognise the talents or any other announcers on TV. Confused: One could be forgiven for thinking that he is Mr Tompsetts manager/agent. Now there's a thought. Exclamation

Ooh I reckon he probably does. Paul Veysey (ex Central) Peter Lewis (ex LWT) Lippy (ex Carlton) Michael St John (ex HTV West) and so many others, all true greats in there time. Anyway, who needs announcers now. On a recent gathering of my family watching the goggle box, they were glued to there favorite soap (Coronation Street) when up comes the end credits and everyone starts to chat. Mother then enquires "whats on next" and picks up her TV Listings Mag. If only she'd listened to the poor old announcer who was spouting off what was coming up 'NEXT- THEN -LATER' she could have saved herself a lot of trouble. If only that announcer was in-vision, he may have captured her imagination a bit more!

Now, there's an interesting theory.

That would mean that Mr Stand is Mr Bogler.

No, definitely not right.
