That's right. The CBBC One/Two studio removed icicles and the metal tree - it has to serve CBBC on BBC Prime, too (warmer climate viewers!!!). TC2 (CBBC Channel) continues with the icy theme until nearer half term.
How many studios does CBBC use now? I remember Studio 9 was a purpose built studio in 1997 for CBBC to "celebrate" their use of nine studios. Has this number grown since 1997?

CBBC uses TC9 for CBBC One and Two output and TC2 for CBBC Channel output.
If you want to count Cbeebies, that's pre-recorded in four-waller TC0 (that's "zero").
On BBC Prime do they have the bugs and the idents?
Do they use the same studio or a similar one in another studio?
Do they have our presenters
Does it come from TV Centre?

plus there's all the studios which are used for Blue Peter, Dick & Dom etc (although these aren't reserved for CBBC are they?)

original NC1 broomcupboard
NC2 (when moved to BBC2 occasionally)
NC3 control room ("the boiler room" used while NC1 was being rewired)
"new" NC1
Pres A
Studio 9

"new" NC1
Not sure about these two, Steve - there was never an "NC3" AFAIK, either in the original 4th floor transmission area or the 2nd floor NTA, although there were three suites in the NTA. The NTA had an area called Studio P which was fitted with a camera and would have been used for CBBC if Pres A failed.
while nc1 con (the broom cupboard) was rewired for stereo in summer 1989,cbbc was presented from "the boiler room",aka nc3,in front of the monitor stack

Thinking about it, I seem to remember CBBC coming from the weather studio when the Broomcupboard failed, and Andy Crane messing about with a blue t-shirt under his sweatshirt... are you meaning the holiday mornings and birthdays which would have probably have been from Pres A?
I only ever visited the original 4th floor transmission area briefly, after it was decommissioned; I'm sure someone else will be able to tell us whether there was a spare suite.
I don't know what the back-up area for the Broomcupboard (i.e. original Con 1 on the 4th floor) would have been, but the weather studio would make sense as that was also part of Pres at the time.
When BBC1 and BBC2 tx moved to the NTA on the 2nd floor, all CBBC output was coming from Pres A, and Studio P in the NTA would have been the back-up, although I don't believe it was ever used.
Does anyone remember when (I think on Sunday) CBBC would start on BBC 1 in the broom-cupboard, and then switch across to BBC 2 and present in the larger studio. I remember at the start of CBBC on BBC 2 once the presenter walking down the corridor from the broom-cupboard to the other studio on TV.
Anyone got pic of the larger studio, I think it may have been Studio 9 in its early form, as it wasn't that long before they moved out of the broom-cupboard. By the way is the broom-cupboard still used for BBC voiceovers?
