This is now the place for CBBC talk now as Asa closed teh CBBC thread. What other programmes should be axed? I think TOTPSaturday needs to be axed.

Nice to see you've taken leadership. Yet o crappy one, I have taken the plunge to show you the door, and if you refuse....I'll...well, I guess...I guess I'll just be ignoring you then.

I'd love to see BBC 3 or maybe CBBC do a series of archive children's programmes, knock up a replica broomcupboard for some IVC. In fact, maybe one of the nations could produce it as they still have continuity suites where the announcer does the vision mix

BBC Scoland's Children's budget seems to spread to as far as 50/50 before it's drained, so no doubt they could spend a fiver on getting someone to trawl through the archives and run it from a nice ole broom cupboard.
That reminds me, my local primary school was just on 50/50. Must look out for it...

Does anyone know when CBBC will return to using their usual bug idents instead of the christmas/winter ones and the reason for them being extended well past christmas.

Could it be that there are new bug idents on their way?

Dick & Dom have certainly given Saturday morning shows a whole new twist. It seems to be an original format that works.

Oh and I nearly forgot to say...

Hey CBBCME

The Bugs in the snow are deliberately winter-themed to make them appropriate for several weeks after Christmas. You'll also still see snowflakes hanging in the CBBC Channel studio together with some icy bits of set and cooler lighting. With the weather this week, it looks like a good move!

But what new things would you do with the bugs??? (Polite replies please!!!) Smile

They've taken the icicles down haven't they? They were only there for christmas along with that funny metal christmas tree thing. Feeble attempt at christmas. The animations aren't that bad, but the fact that they are for winter means that they didn't have any christmas presentation!

Quite a lot could be done with the bugs. They could let the bugs loose on the world, have them attacking people or mix them into bits of programmes (a bit like present CiTV idents though), but a bit like the CBeebies launch trailer with the yellow blobs bouncing around bob the builder and bill & ben, etc.
