Don't know if anyone caught this on Saturday but at the start of Dick N Dom in Da Bungalow when they introduce the kids. One of them said they didn't like the News. So they thought they would make it interesting to get a parody of Huw Edwards on the telly and he told the kids to make it more interesting was to do the BBC News dance which was basically the news theme speeded up. It's quite funny as you see all the kids dancing away in some rave version.

The clip can be found
here Audio wise, it's not the best of clips but the visuals are the best of it.

Please, please, please russnet, could you put the link back up for us to see because it's broken. I'm begging you please. Very Happy

Interesting how things have changed from the first series. I think the toilet has moved (originally on the left somewhere), and they didn't have the basement or the spare room by the looks of it.

Thats because , when the programme first started , on CBBC Channel, it was low budget, as it became popular, better channel (BBC ONE) better budget

Well actually for the rest of the show he was the 'celebrity' in that appeared in the basement cage. So a one-off on the bungalow, I think Timmy Mallet is the only 'celebrity' that has appear on the show more than once, though Dick & Dom have said that he is what has inspired them. (Anyone remember Whack-a-day? back in the days of TV-AM.)

Yeah but it was Wac-a-day though! ooh and not forgetting the trendy Wac 90 when everything around late 1989 added 90 to the end of their name to become all trendy.

So there's me thinking Mallets Mallet was a word association game where you musn't pause or you musn't hestiate....

Everything in the basic living room has always been where it is, the lift, the moose, the sofa, the toilet and airing cupboard, etc.

The original set was built around the CBBC Channel Studio (part of the set in studio 4 that shared with X Change and Newsround), so the D&D life fitted into the CBBC life, the wall came out around theirs, the step up to the door fitted the step in CBBC's, even the window was lined up with one of the plasmas.

When they moved to BBC One, the set moved into TC6, the home of all recent Saturday Morning BBC programmes, and so they extended it as it's a 8000ft studio by adding a basement, and spare rooms (even though there's no proper bedroom). For this past series they added a loft, as to what they'll add next series, we'll just have to wait and see.
