Its got me thinking, bit random, anyone remember the theme to Noel's Christmas Presents? I seem to remember a brassy uptempo theme.

One thing i notice after just watching a clip of the final TV-am prog. Has Ms Kelly not aged at all since 1992?

I just thought I'd mention this. Tuesday to Friday 2nd to 5th January they've got Nihal sitting in for Moyles on Radio 1. That's a bit strange don't you think?

Who? And why couldn't Moyles just have pre recorded that week? He's recorded all his Christmas editions.

Nihal from Bobby Friction & Nihal on 1Xtra. Also on late Radio 1 on Tuesdays. Bit of a strange choice I'll agree.

Nihal, although a nice enough person, quite funny at times, is not the person I'd immediately think of to cover for Moyles. When he covers for people, it feels like its not his slot. It's p not his slot, but he doesn't feel comfortable in the show's of those he covers for.

However, he is co-covering (with various music stars) for the first three weeks of January.

Is this the same Nihal who did Saturday Show Extra?

Yes, he started his BBC radio career after leaving it when the show ended.

Ohhhh now I'm with you! He wasn't too bad on kids tv, but a strange replacement for Moyles.

I agree last time I saw her she looked no different to back in her TV:AM days.

Richard Keys is another story of course Wink

When I first heard Moyles on Radio1 (after he left Capital FM) he used to use the 20th Century Fox theme as a "start up theme" for each show in late 1999. Then once the the turn of the century occured (I hate that "M" word as the BBC really over used it back then) he used the Thames ident theme for the majority of 2000.

I would have thought one of the regular daytime DJs who has their own show would be a better choice. Such as JK & Joel, Vernon Kay, even Fearne and Reggie would surely be higher up the list
