Im wondering if they moved the news to 06:55 so that they actually get Chris on air at 07:00. A few times now he has started the show from the back of a cab 5 mins away from Youlding House.

So has everyone been listening this week then, with the new jingles and new Newsbeat
What do people think of them moving the news to 6.55, to allow the show to start at 7

It's only like that for the 5pm news, as it's not a proper bulletin, just a short roundup of whats coming up on the main edition at 5:45. They still use the "Digital, FM, Online...." on the rest of them.

I think they have now changed it to 'Radio 1 Newsbeat'.

so what could Dick N Dom do for 3 hours early in the mornings?
BB
Attempt to amuse the non existent audience at that hour by screaming "BOGIES" randomly at top volume over a record.

I saw a article about that somewhere. How Dick N Dom is an attempt for Radio to try out new talent. They are established broadcasters in some sense of the word. They have experience. I rather it was given to somebody who was coming up the cranks than somebody who was having a lull in their tv career.

Oh shut your head, they're on at 4am for God's sake, nobody's forcing you to listen!
Any normal person would be in bed at that time, and if they did want to listen to them would make use of the Listen Again facility....
