Dick and Dom in da Bungalow... awful, terrible programme. I don't get why they axed live and Kicking; The Saturday Show was awful and this is just worse. I know quite a few friends with young brothers/sisters and they all hate it! It's just naff, not funny at all..., SMTV wipes the floor off it.

The thing with Dick & Dom is that it relies on new features too often. Such as Lord Wellington saying how funny Bogies was, those of us that watched it from the first show on the CBBC Channel in august 2002 saw it may be, not finding it as funny as it used to be. To me its the novelty value of things, when they introduce new games, its the best, such as when they introduced Pumpy Rumpy towards the end of the last series, it was hilarious.

Some of the things do work long time, dick & dom are very good live tv presenters, but I feel that they have the tiswas about them, the show tends to appeal to the older audience than the kids that it is scheduled for. Speaking of the kids, the bungalow heads make the show, if they have a rubbish set of kids for the weekend, the show doesnt work as well as if they have mischevious, loud, brash 8/9 year olds with them.

I think that they have tagged onto this factor about aiming for an older audience, as they are introducing things like the celebrity from the student viewers childhood, peter simon, cheryl baker, etc. They are also advertising quite a lot at night, I have seen the trailer 3 times on BBC Two after 9pm!

Its one of those shows that you can get really into, then get fed up of, then get into it again. Its easy viewing, but I dont think it appeals that much to the kids!

LMAO @ him wearing a Bid-Up T-shirt, but what a shame that at no point did he inadvertantly fall into a moat of gunge.

Let's hope ITVs new show is like SMTV was in the early days (it's a shame SMTV never got Ant & Dec back- otherwise they would be kicking D&D's ass) then maybe thy can be shown how bad this is. As someone who grew up in the 90s, I can safely say even Paralell 9 & Scratchy & Co was better than this.

Paralell 9? You are joking aren't you? That show was the biggest load of tripe ever.

It was still a million times better than D&D IMO

I used to like Get Fresh - coming live from a carpark near you.

I grew up in the 90s too - I remember way back to the days of Going Live / Double Dare and would often watch on Sat mornings even now that i'm way in my 20s and working.

I think D&D is superp and in no way was Scratchy and Parallel 9 better. It doesn't rely on your usual Busted or stupid "left left left, no right right, FIRE" games that L&K and even SMTV used.

Instead it's a half naked man bouncing on a trampoline, or if you saw it from the start on CBBC, a man eating chillies. I do wish they'd bring back the generator game though - now that was crude with the descriptions at times!!!

When we're in dull edit on a weekend morning, we'd turn it on and just pi** ourselves laughing!

I thought Dick and Dom promised not to have celebrities on... yet they have. Confused Not my cup of tea anyway.

Low grade former TV presenters making ironic cameos in cages is hardly 'having celebrities on'
