On 12th September 1999, the presenters repeatly made too many references to brand names during competitions. Also there was lots of innuendo in many shows. "In view of the repeated nature of the problems with this series, the ITC issued a formal warning to LWT"
As of course the ITC only covers commercial tv I'm not sure what sort of official slaps of wrists there's been with the opposition
Why are they only LWT? Officially does SM:TV commission Blaze to make the programme which is then networked? Or have only viewers in the LWT region complained? (seems unlikely)...
Dick And Dom in da Bungalow triumphed with 1.1 million viewers for their first Saturday outing on CBBC One. SM:tv Gold the first of the series of lookback episodes had 800,000 viewers.

It will be interesting to see what happens this saturday morning. I think a lot kids (and parents) watched the first one to see what it would be like. But once I think TSS got 900,000. Sounds bad until you look at SM:tv with 800,000. That was in March I think so they have gained 200,000 viewers.
The Saturday Show officially matched Sm:tv Live in the ratings with 1m viewers on the 25th Jan 2003. On Feb 8th & 15th TSS had 1.1m beating Sm:tv. Sm:tv and CD:UK were beaten by TSS and TOTP Saturday on the 15th Feb with 1.1m against ITV1s 1m.
I think that the change from The Saturday Show to Dick and Dom has lowered the target audience by a good few years. It's possible that The Saturday Show's older viewers will switch back to SM:tv now, plus CD:uk now offers more live music than the pre-recorded TOTP Saturday.
Also note that the BBC have advertised both Dick and Dom in da Bungalow and TOTP Saturday a lot of times during adult viewing time, therefore bring the show to people's attentions. (Both trailers are a bit childish though, more so than the actual programmes!)
SM:TV Gold has only be trailed during CITV, and CD:UK hasn't been advertised at all, in fact as it actually been trailed ever in its 5 years!. So people may not know that Ant and Dec are back.
Although one of the ITV1 Continuity Announcers promoted SM:TV Gold this afternoon for some reason
