D&D is for under fives. Why is it beating SMTV?

No its not for under five's else it would be on CBeebies!

Its aimed at 6 - 13 year olds as its the CBBC demographic. Though they are doing an SM:tv 1999+ thing of adding adult innuendo so that they can get adults watching it too.

It was not beating SM:tv Live at the end of the last series, as the series was only aired on the CBBC Channel, this time they are airing it on CBBC One and the CBBC Channel.

Will they add the ratings for each together so that they get a collective? Or will they just take them separately?

No CBBC Channel after noon repeat this time round (yet) Sad . So I'll have to be up early Sad . Either that or miss sm:tv and dick & dom and end up with tracy beaker! Again!

Presumably collective as
1 - you can't watch both at once and
2 - BARB has difficulty with simulcasts as anyone mentioning News 24's viewing figures will tell you.

I believe it's the same amount of people making the show, except they've got a bit more money to spend this time around.... not that they'd really use it anywhere apart from more creamy muck muck or dirty norris!!

The people involved I would say are keen to keep it as it was on CBBC and not ruin it by throwing fancy stuff and an audience left right and centre.

There are a few more people working on the show then previously.

Dick & Dom are involved loosly with the production, but as with any presenters, much less than you actually think they are.

Sorry, but I've watched Dick & Dom a few times, and, as a 16 year old, I felt embarrassed for myself! I didn't know why I was watching it! So I cant see how its aimed at adults as well!

You said yourself that you've watched it more than once, so you must like something about it.

I only watched to see what all the fuss was about. I thought I may have just caught it on a bad week, so I watched it again the next week, and, sorry, but it was very very childish and definately not the kind of thing I could imagine adults watching.

When saying on BBCi about ratings against SM:tv then yes.

Is this because they are broadcasting the Junior Great North Run. (which is incidently after the first bungalow) and D&D are meant to be doing the commentary again. I can remember thinking they were really good last year.

For those of you who asked back in June, there will be a Dick and Dom website on BBCi. Probably Friday, failing that saturday.

Never watched Dick and Dom in da...whatever; are they desperatly trying to be the beeb's Ant and Dec?

No, I don't think they are. Anyway, what do you mean? Presenting Style, taking over saturday morning ratings?

You can't compare them anyway. The shows are too different. I think DIck & Dom have a lot more input into the bunglow than Ant & Dec ever did with SM:tv. It looks like DIck & Dom are more involved with the show, it's direction and its content as well.

Ant and Dec wrote most of the material for SM:Tv and you could really tell when they left too. I do think that they are trying to be like Ant and Dec (Dick and Dom for instance). There's something about them I don't quite like. In our TV Guide there's an interview with them both and it says "Do you even get sick of each other?" and they replied "No, we're soul mates"... it all seems so... false?

I couldn't think of his name. I'm sure he's been mentioned on the forum before.

Anyway the website will be at www.bbc.co.uk/cbbc/dickndom

Really? I thought they would have gone for /cbbc/bungalow, seems as though the email address is bungalow@bbc.co.uk
