Andrew, DFS was never called Northern Upholstery 'up north', only in Yorkshire. T'was always DFS in the North East. In fact, I don't recall seeing a DFS advert before 1993, but there were loads of Northern Upholstery ads on YTV before then.
It would be useful Nick if you could confirm that Southampton continuity is staying there; it would nail CraigV as a fraud, as it was he who said it was happening. I had mentioned it in passing previously as a possibility, as the two centres' output does seem to be getting more and more similar in the last few months; the only real difference is that Southampton mention station names a lot more than Leeds, the rest of it is just as dull... (they also have the same trailers in the same order as Leeds most of the time, and have killed off their coming next slides just like Leeds. Meridian's output mirrors Leeds' almost exactly)
As for Channel, if they are getting their fibre-optic link from London, which station will they be shadowing?
