I'll start off then, with a simple looking sorta design!

OK, I based this ident on the current ITN News channels arrows (only i didn't actually use the arrows as I think they look tacky, and pointless - although the networks slogan is:
ITN - Straight to the ponit
or something like that.)
The colours were taken from the ITV Idents I posted earlier, but I brightened it up a little.
That's really good. You should create a whole montage of astons and graphics and stuff like that…

I'm amazed!! How long did that take you? Which program did you use? The background is great!!
I'll be shocked (even more shocked) if anybody else can do better..
And I agree with alekf - it would be good if you could follow on the theme with astons and graphics like that... in fact, everyone should do an aston to accompany their design also, so people can see what the whole theme and style of the design looks like... if you know what i mean!

Heres another one, which could be used for the Morning, and Afternoon updateds.
The blurey bits are where the streaks are whizzing passed - like the arrows on the ITN News channel (in case you were wondering)
Those are absolutely amazing! They look a bit like the sort of thing used on American TV (which isn't a bad thing) - much better than the graphics ITV are using at the mo.
And yes, I think the ITN arrows look really tacky too!
