Those not using anti-aliasing, please try to use it. It's really does improve the smoothness of the text. Have a route aroundin whatever program you're using and make sure it's on. I'm talking to you MikeG! Smile

What's anti-aliasing? Never heard of it. If I had, I would've used it!

As I mentioned, when creating text on an exisiting image, anti-aliasing makes the edges of the text smooth. The text on your graphics look scraggy.

Where can i get this anti thingy then? Is it on Paint Shop Pro 4?

Also, if using PSP 5 and above, try putting your anti-aliased(!) text on a separate layer and give it a low level Gaussian blur - around 0.5ish. It helps take the harshness off the text.

There should be a check box when you're creating text. If you can't find it, do a search in the help file.

Don't tell me you're using PSP4! Download the latest copy. Version 7 is out you know Smile

Somehow, I find your tone a little harsh towards me tonight! I am not a kid and need to be told what to do. I'm sorry that I don't have the latest software! I'm doing my best! I've only been doing these mocks since Sunday!

Re: my text on my mocks, click on the link and tell me what you think of this text. This was the first one i ever did - and on Paint Shop Pro 4 - the rest are on Corel Presentations!

Jamez, I didn't know where you'd get the balloon from! And I don't know how to do that cropping thing.

Simple - Email Asa if you can have permission to use one of the BBC 1 Wallpapers on TV Home, or get a TV Card for your computer and capture your own images and avi's.

Good idea James.

Feel free to use one of the balloons Mike. I however, would recommend upgrading to the latest version of Paint Shop Pro and reading the provided help on how to use the features (like circle cutout - for the balloon). Just for the record, I use PSP5 and Animation Shop 3 for my spoofs.

After reading your post on how to make Real Media spoofs, I really would suggest you stick to the stills until you're totally confident (or have a lot of time on your hands!!) Smile

Cheers, Asa

Have you got the exact URL for the Paint Shop pro 5 download?

But to be honest, at the end of the day, it's only a bit of fun!

You could try www.download.com for software downloads. Some of them are freeware and shareware. PSP 7 I think is available, but I'm more of a Photoshop fan! Smile

It can take a little while to get used to the software, and learn how to use it, although I have been doing graphic design and art for 7 years and computer art since 1997.

If you find that you don't like drawing with a computer application, you could always pick up a pencil and sketch your ideas!! Smile

PSP7 is available on download.com - but it's not free..... I can remember the first versions of PSP were free, then Jasc had to get greedy Sad
