Isn't the Balloon meant to be shown exclusivly to the British people of Great Britain?
BBC America used it for a long time.

Nice try Andrew, but I like my balloon to be floating over UK locations, not some third world slum! Smile
I'll treat that comment with contempt it so generously deserves. It may not look it in that (winter) picture, but Naoussa is one of the top holiday destinations for Athenians -- and consequently (and unfortunately) one of the most expensive. Sad

I thought that BBC 4 may have some Wildlife programmes now and then so I designed these idents. Alternatively, they could be used for normal programming I suppose.

BBC4 Version 1

BBC4 Version 2

If the URL's don't work, go to my directory - address where the signature is.

What do you think?

The images are from National Geographic.

Version 1's sophisticated and really defines the channel, especially the '4'. Good work! Smile

One last BBC ident. This is supposed to BBC Prime in Italy and it's a BBC World newsflash about Etna errupting.

I never did Italian at school so sorry if it's incorrect. I used AltaVista to translate!

UPDATE!!

After being told I can get 50MB of free space on 50megs.com, I have moved to them from Geocities. All my mock ups are on there now.

The URL is in my signature. Most are in 640x480 or something like that and the bars at the bottom are my attempts at widescreen, Lol!

PLEASE JUST IGNORE THE OTHER LANDMARK PICTURES. THEY WILL BE REPLACED WITH MOCK UPS SOON
More will be added soon.

Nice, but you need to look at your choice of colours again. Even on a high res PC monitor the colours bleed into one another and become difficult to view. The point where you have the 'O' in Fort crossing into the outer circle is virtually the same brightness and TV sets won't translate this very well, especially digital after being compressed.

A techy top tip, but still nice! Smile

Hi everyone, I'm new here so please be gentle! I must say I'm very impressed with all these idents you have created. It inspired me to have a go too. Please bear in mind I got an 'E' in GCSE Art, athough that was a few years ago now!

I recently went to the Isle of Man and was shocked at the lack of any specific news programmes for the island. BBC NE & Cumbria?! Oh dear. So below is an ident for a BBC Isle of Man region, complete with their very own news programme.

http://web.ukonline.co.uk/s.roberts/bbc1iom.jpg

'This is BBC One in the Isle of Man. Now Manx Today, with Tina Bangs.'

http://web.ukonline.co.uk/s.roberts/bbcmanxtoday.jpg

FYI the ident features the Laxey Wheel, and the view behind Tina is Douglas.

Where did you get the balloon from? I've been wanting that for ages!

Just crop the balloon from an ident image on TV Home or somesuch.
