Des & Mel

Does anyone get the feeling that Des doesn't know what's going on, and Mel doesn't care what's going on? I find it cringeworthy.

I'm sure Des is going a bit strange. He can't seem to cope with live TV at all. He has no control over the guests and the show often ends up over running. It doesn't help that he obviously hasn't got a clue who half the guests are. At the end of the interviews he is obviously being told the name of the guest down his ear piece, as he says things like "please give a round of applause for er, this gentleman er it's Jonathan er Wilkes"

Erasure were on today singing their classic song "Oh L'amour". Afterwards Des said "that was good, it's quite different from their normal stuff".

I heard a rumour that the coffee mug he keeps sipping from during the show is filled not with coffee but with a cold substitute. Dark amber in colour....
