Personally, I think that its possible that nothing Derren Brown does is hoaxed, and that its genuine psychology he uses. At a guess though, is it possible that he'll say something like "barrel 2" three seconds before he actually pulls the trigger, so that whoever it is that's loaded the gun will be able to stop him from killing himself?

That Daily Mail article is partly true though. After all, he might as well just get this other person to randomly select a number between 1 and 6, but that wouldnt be as interesting would it?

And by the way, its taking place at a secret location which they claim is abroad, which is how they're getting round the gun laws.

Indeed. Before the show, I was 100% confident there was no chance he could kill himself.
There is no doubting in my mind this was anything but completely genuine. But, when he sat there motionless for about 3 minutes I suddenly became quite confident he would pull out, or be pulled out (if you know what I mean

)
Also, Marcus Bentley was just hilarious tonight. Was he just doing C4 CA tonight just so he could put that emphasis on 'LIVE'
And the strange delay after every safety reminder....before saying something else. Very peculiar, but a very good, and piss-inducing show overall

I'm all up for having a greater variety of accents on TV, but Marcus Bently just has the MOST ANNOYING VOICE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, he shot canister no.5 at the wall...but there wasn't a bullet inside, then he went still for a few minutes. I thought that he'd messed up, he'd chosen the wrong canister and was trying to think of a way to get out of it. Then he shot canister no.6 at his head, and then immediately shot canister no.1 at the wall...the one with the bullet in.

Interesting...!

However I must say that they did ramp up the tension a bit - I couldn't get out of my seat whilst he sat at the table toying with his gun.

And in all the excitement, nobody noticed that the programme on afterwards, "Magick", had Yes 661's L-J Rich on it! For a moment I thought "oh no, it's Simone Bienne all over again" But having handed out some keys to weird men, she wasn't seen again.

Is the Andrew O'Connor who turns up in the credits for all these magic shows the same Andrew O'Connor off Runaround, CrossWits and other shows too boring to remember? I saw him in "Barnum" once, he was quite good.
