The Ian McCaskill "GOF" clip keeps being shown with the BBC vt logo added for the 1979 Christmas tape.

Which itself wasn't an outtake. In fact I believe for that reason it wasn't shown on Aunties Bloomers. Terry Wogan did refer to it once on the programme though, alongside a replica of the map.

There was one in 1991, one in 1992 and one in 1994. That ended up gradually increasing to the point where there were 14 in 2000.

I can't find that exact sketch but that set was used in their 1980 Thames series. From about 10'40" in on this clip:

Didn't Alright on the Night use movie outtakes in the early days too?

Of course something else that doesn't help outtakes on TV is their inclusion as DVD extras, which in turn get posted on YouTube.

Having just watched All The Best from Denis Norden from the other night there’s a Peter Sellers outtake which appeared to have come from one of the earliest It’ll be Alright On The Night’s.

That was apparently an audience favourite and was used on the 21st birthday special too.

Hardly surprising. It's brilliant.

Having just watched All the Best back on the ITV hub there are two credits blurred out which seems like a really bizarre thing to do. Anyone have any ideas what they've obscured?
