Isn't the tower listed though so that will have to remain?

The tower of flats remain, AFAIK.

I visited the studios in 1983 or 1984, and the reception area is an older building, with the studio complex 'bolted on'. They can knock the studio complex down (in fact, it's been planned for years, it's no surprise to me to hear this news), but they can't knock down the front bit, it's a listed building - Central's receptionist told me that!
