Well I checked it out again just now... and can confirm that of the three channels I'm getting from Bluebell Hill (BBC1, ITV1 & C4) that C4 has a delay and I aslo noticed today that ITV1 has a delay as well... Now how do you explain that?

Note that ITV1 on Bluebell Hill is Meridian so it's not fed from a digital feed from Crystal Palace.

Going along the lines of this topic, there are overlaps for analogue and I get also:
BBC ONE Wales
BBC TWO Wales
ITV Wales
S4C
and I live near Manchester how can that be?

Maybe because Manchester's near Wales?

I would also suspect that the antenna location is to the east and maybe a bit north of Winter Hill so that it is pointing in a south westwards direction towards Winter Hill and is also therefore seeing Moel-y-Parc.

Of course the other situation could be that the antenna has a very poor back to front rejection, since it lacks a decent reflector, and that the antenna is pointing north eastwards towards Winter Hill but is approximately in line with Moel-y-Parc at the back.

For analogue transmissions -

Winter Hill..............ch55 ....... ch62 ....... ch59 ...... ch65
Moel-y-Parc .........ch52.........ch45 ....... ch49 ....... ch42

I used to get near perfect Welsh TV in Blackpool. S4C was a handy "Channel 4 repeat channel". A bit like C4+1 (and a bit). Wink
