That was recorded in the studio next door to Deal Or No Deal, at the Paintworks.
Never did find out if the crew for In The Grid, recorded that show during the 'down' time between cram recording blocks of DonD.

The whole point of the Deal Or No Deal tour (other than commission contract fulfilment by Channel 4 and Endemol) is that the game is so simple, you can play it anywhere - and the basic nature of these shows are supposed to prove it.

Whether that came from all the nonsense wrapped up in the 'dream factory' and the bogus statistical and psychological clap trap the contestants brought with them onto the show, and to get it stripped right back to beyond basics.

I notice one of them is done on a 747 in flight. Let's hope Fergal Sharkey isn't invited along to sing on the show...

Genuinely one of the strangest bits of television I've ever seen. The section where the train stopped 'unexpectedly' in the middle of a round and Noel went to talk to the driver and had a mini-interview about how far the train goes and who owns it, etc, (before returning to open the final box as if nothing had happened) being a particular highlight of weirdness.

I notice that during some of the audience cutaways - the TV screen appears to be have been altered in post to show a different image, and doesn't seem to have been done very well, especially when the train goes over a bump.

I noticed Endemol appear to have stuck it in with one of their many production companies and as a result for the first time since the show started there was no blue spinning coin noise at the end of the credits which felt weird!

If that doesn't make sense, https://youtu.be/ZuEsFITq2Yc?t=44m25s

How recently were these "on tour" episodes filmed anyay? The final studio episodes broadcast last week had been on the shelf since I think last spring, have these been sitting on the shelf for ages too, or were they filmed more recently?

They were filmed in October after the axe was announced, though they seem to be pretending it isn't the end.

More recent. Sometime after August.

He told Press Association: “Jay Hunt [Channel 4’s chief creative officer] and I have been working on this for the last six months and now the logistics are virtually finalised we can start recording the shows in some extraordinary locations.”

EDIT: Beaten to it. And yes, they're denying it's over:

Edmonds denied that the show was ending and said the tour was “the beginning of an exciting new era for Deal”.

An exciting new era where it isn't on the air?

Coming soon: The Deal or No Deal Experience (for when The Crystal Maze is booked up). Probably hosted by the actual Noel Edmonds.
