Seriously was an extraordinary game. I don't buy this whole 'she played well' and 'she deserved it' business because it is after all pot-luck, but from what I saw in her on the show I think she's the sort of person who will really benefit from this money. As she said, she just wanted £5000. Very modest.

Although of course the luck was with her the show is much more about judgement and nerve than luck, although to be fair with the luck she had the judgement was pretty much a no-brainer. I think with the top two left you'd have to be offered £180k+ to even consider not going on.

And really don't all quiz shows come down to luck ultimately - with Millionaire and Million Pound Drop etc. the luck of the questions is surely a big factor. Although of course it's different on your sofa, with Million Pound Drop last week I could have got through the entire eight questions for one couple and won the full million, but on the next set I'd have been out on question one.

Deal or No Deal though has evolved into a show I can't bear to watch every day, but something I'll sit through if I catch it every now and again. Indeed I turned yesterdays episode off within a few minutes and only happened across the final stage when channel hopping.

I used to watch DOND every day for the first two years, until it became apparent the producers were picking the same personality types and background stories all the time. When you've seen 100 'look how mad I am' contestants, they're no longer unique and interesting, they're just annoying. Then you've got loads of retired dinner ladies who want to go on a cruise, students who want to pay off their loan; all of them seemingly related to someone who's died of a terminal illness or overcome one themselves. It's the same handful of people all the time, just in different bodies.

True. However, a lot of this is to do with Noel and his 'Christmas presents' style of making dreams happen and suchlike.

The Banker is also teasing on Twitter, but all of this might be a red herring of course.

And? Who said the video in my post is talking about todays game. Look at the shirt Noel is wearing in the video for a start.

Defensive aggression on your part I see. I based by 'spoiler' on a one second look at the contestant whilst watching the 'game' on the live Channel 4 stream. I could not care less what shirt the 'presenter' is wearing.

It was clearly designed to imply something interesting was going to happen today. It was posted late yesterday and ended by inviting viewers to join them at 4pm.

No need to get so fork and upset about it though. You don't speak for Channel 4's PR department.

DID anything actually happened? If lighting was to strike again would it not have been on a Friday?

The contestant said "Fork and knife" and it sounded like he was saying "****ing knife". Everyone laughed. He repeated it a few more times. Fun was had by all.
