Well, it's still pulling four million in the ratings, so somebody's watching it, evidently.

It's no different to what NBC is doing to the US version of Deal or No Deal.

I dont watch it RELIGIOUSLY, but then who does watch a 5-nights-a-week quiz show religiously? It's no different to 15-1, Countdown, Weakest Link or even things like 100% (channel 5 effort of late 90s)

IMHO Weakest Link is more overrated than DoND - that's been doing the same old schtick for nearly 6 years now...I got tired of that around about the time Bob The Builder was number 1 in the charts.

I think you're exactly right. The heart in Deal or No Deal (UK) was what sucked me in to begin with.

It was, for a while, unmissable. I was quite drawn in with the cameraderie of the contestants, I was willing them all to do well.

Ultimately, I got emotional fatigue, and kind of gave up on it after losing track of the contestants.

But if I'm not working, and I catch it in the afternoon on 4, then I'd probably watch. I can see why is has retained its viewers. It is consistent, and sometimes still quite absorbing.

But I've lost that "must see" feeling about it.

So in answer to the poll, yes I am bored.

Perhaps they should introduce those supernoodles you speak of in the NBC show.

Maybe ratings are measured in the last 10 mins of the programme, when those who cant be bothered to watch the whole thing tune in to see if big money is still in play.

Didn't Noel say on one episode of "Friday Night with Jonathan Ross" that, i quote" Someone has won the £250,000, we paid them off and said we will not be showing the win"???

yes he was joking. However;

A woman has won the £250,000 and the episode is due to be screened on Jan 7th 2007 IIRC.
