The Christmas Star episodes have been strange - no issue with the format or even the gifts, but it's been stripped of all the usual presentation with just a pan around the studio at the beginning and a simple graphic into the break.

I think the contestants reaction over the credits is a nice touch though.

I agree though - a mid-winter break for a month or two would help alot (was Win My Wage recommissioned?), as would axing the weekend editions which are pointless now they've moved back to Saturdays.

Indeed without the premium rate competition, I'm surprised they can continue with the same number of episodes as the last couple of years.

During one of the ad breaks on today's show, Channel 4 aired an Ofcom report (similar to the one seen before Big Brother started last year) concerning the breakage in the competition rules.

It seems to be a Channel 4 tradition now...

And plans for next week, to coincide with St. Valentine's Day: Love Week. Ugh.

Do it for a day and leave it be. It's getting rather gimmicky.

The hysteria surrounding the show seems to have died down considerably over the past few months.

That's aired three times this week at the same time.

Don't see why it had to be aired three times really - I'm sure in the olden days it was only ever once. Anyhow, it should at least have been done at different points on different days, say one before the show, one during and one after.

Has a similar one for Richard and Judy aired yet?
