On the whole the graphics work well, but I'd like to see the opening titles change to something along the same lines, but looking alot more real than cartoony.

Shame they've decided to theme this week around Halloween rather than the shows own birthday or even C4's birthday - but always like the twist of having offers after each box in the final round.

Not sure about letting the banker peak inside a box though!

I did enjoy the trick or treat twist to the shows, and I do like how they've done it up for Halloween, that followed by Paul O Grady on Wednesday will be good, though I doubt countdown will do anything.

I think the UK versions present graphics work really well with its different format, and the the US graphics work with their own format. The US graphics just wouldn't work with the UK version.

Perhaps they could do a mix of UK and US graphics. Failing that, a nice rendition of the Spanish version could work well.

Erm, thanks for describing yourself, but that's derailing the thread.

I know I'm an hour or so late, but...happy 2nd birthday, Deal or No Deal!

The Halloween special was just amazing. If anyone's planning to watch it on 4OD I'll hide the details, but basically
we had Noel open a coffin and a past contestant (Jean, the 'grin reaper') jumping out, all the contestants in insanely complex Halloween costumes, and a huge gamble at the end between 1p and £75,000...and he won the £75,000! Best show all season!

Really can't believe it's been two years now since that first episode, it's so funny reading the early pages in this thread. Wonder if it'll make it to another two years!

Two weeks of specials over Christmas.

Over the Christmas week itself it's the previously advertised "Deal or No Deal Christmas Star" in which contestants nominated for the good work they do for others play the game.

In the week before Christmas it's "Deal or No Deal: Scrooge v Santa" in which contestants will be opening windows on a giant advent calendar to win big prizes - but isk Scrooge taking away their box and having a peep inside.

A perfect illustration of the phrase "jumping the shark", there.

Oh joy, the best Christmas present they could have given us is resting the show for two weeks. When does this series end ?

Is anyone actually remotely interested in this show anymore? How is it rating these days? Last I heard ratings were on the slide.
