Deal or No Deal celebrates it's 2nd birthday next Saturday (despite it's real birthday is this Wednesday). To celebrate, they are once again doubling the jackpot to £500,000.

That's the whole point. We like to be different!

The UK one seems rather odd for what I've seen and not like the other versions.

Even the US version is less annoying then ours. I find DOND unbearable now because of all the god-awful camaraderie. The contestants are so f**king annoying I don't want them to win anything. Plus there's all that spiritual "Positive thinking" nonsense - chanting blue isn't going to make it blue. "What
tactics
are you going to use". WTF is that about? You're opening boxes
If implementing the foreign formats would get rid of all that crap I'd welcome the change.

I might see if I can record a picture of the actual studio in the week if anyone wants.

It's on the C4 press site.
I do prefer the UK set up, but as others say it can go a bit too far at times and get rather annoying. However, generally speaking I like that you have the chance to get to know the contestants before they play - I think that makes a huge difference in how interested you are in their game.

Just to clarify, I meant just changing the graphics , not the format of the actual programme.

As I've said before in this thread, I much prefer the UK to the US version. It's a light entertainment family game show, which you can quite happily sit and watch with the kids after school or Great Auntie Gladys without fear of anyone being offended.
The US version is aimed at an entirely different audience. Americans have to sensationalise everything and include all the brash and tacky sexual innuendo of a Las Vegas Casino show. They merge that with the excessive emotion, screaming and whooping that you see from your average american when they find something as little as an extra sausage on their plate in a hotel at breakfast (believe me I've seen them do it).

Not every country have adapted the US graphics. The Australian version only started to use the latest graphic since February 2007. Since the show was on air since August 2003 they had their own logo.
Also most European versions, which uses the civillian/box format still use their own generic logo. Namely, Spain & Italy.
Check out the link below for other countries.

I think the UK versions present graphics work really well with its different format, and the the US graphics work with their own format. The US graphics just wouldn't work with the UK version.
