Is there any point to the weekend Deal or No Deal, especially now it's moved to Saturdays opposite the BBC and ITV big shows ? The weekend edition doesn't even figure in C4's top 30 programmes.
They should just do away with the weekend show, is there anybody yet that isn't totally bored with the format ?

It's still a viable format. They sometimes throw in strange events like offering "dream trips or events" instead of just cash. Having recently seen the US version I can definately say that the UK show is infinately better.

Last Saturday's edition got less than 1 million viewers, so it is pretty pointless showing a Saturday edition opposite the big shows

I don't understand why they've moved the weekend edition back to Saturday - especially right in the middle of primetime.
It made perfect sense when they moved it to Sunday out of the way of X Factor and SCD.
I do think now though they should ditch the weekend edition - and surprised they haven't to save a bit of cash now they're getting less in from the competitions.
Talking of which - absolutely hate the way it's set up now with the stupid entry by post as well. As a compromise I had no problem with the opening the box first and then revealing the winner the next day (with entry by phone and online) - but delaying announcing the winner a week just seems an unneccessary throw back to the 1960s.
Final moan, but have they sorted out the More4 repeat screenings yet? The evening ones are generally same day (presumably Saturdays show is now repeated on Sundays again too) - but the daytime repeats are weeks behind.

By the time Season 2 ended in July they were just under a month behind, it had got one day further back every week as the repeats are five days a week while the show is six. They continued during the Summer break to cut down on the backlog, but then weirdly when the new season started they went *back* a few shows and repeated them again, so they're further behind now than they should be.
I think they're two and a bit weeks behind right now, which is still pretty bad but not as bad as it was a few months ago.

The Viewer's Competition is no more! Instead of it happening today, it suddenly cut to a really tightly framed shot of a big closeup of Noel standing next to the gameboard (probably only recorded today and edited into the episode recorded months ago) saying that in line with other Channel 4 shows, they've put the Viewer's Competition 'on a break', and then thanking everyone who's called in over the last two years.
I wonder if it'll ever be back? I actually opened one of those blue box things in an episode once, glad I did now!

I thought along with the Big Brother voting, Deal or No Deal had been cleared to continue.

Considering Noel's new Sky show begins on Sunday, is this the real reason the weekend edition of Deal has moved back to Saturday?
The 7.15pm slot though still makes no sense against X Factor and Deal or No Deal - its better off two or three hours earlier when the audience is actually there.

I've just switched onto Channel 4 and found "Ten Million Pounds" being shown on the board with everybody hugging and celebrating. Can anyone tell me what i've just missed?

AFAIK the Banker has now given out ten million pounds over the programme's entire run, and it was promised that if Ron won over £7280.11, they would dance at the end of the programme.
