Regarding Phone entry - don't know if they've done it on the More4 repeats, but on the Saturday "classic" episodes they now have a recorded announcement rather than the phone number and "Lines now closed" caption saying that it's a repeated episode and competition is closed, but you can vote at channel4.com/deal on classic episodes to be shown.
Interesting offer from the banker today - throwing in a "dream" of playing at Old Trafford amongst some Man Utd greats for a massive Man Utd fan along with £7,500 at the third offer.
Despite obviously wanting it though, greed took over and he went away with just £1000.
A reminder that today's show it the 500th (yes, only the 500th!) with a promise of a glimpse behind the scenes - and surprises for the viewers and the contestants.
I imagine for the viewers a prize of £50,000 will be on offer, while I expect they'll double the jackpot again for todays player.
Also, anyone know when Deal or No Deal goes off air for the summer?

It will be interesting to see what the new 'quiz mechanic' will be. Possibly just 'win £5000'
What the Beeb (and most others, it seems) missed in that though, was...

Early callers to the programme had more opportunities to be selected than late callers
, and the majority of names were selected before the lines closed. Only one potential winner from each entry mechanism had been chosen after the lines closed. The Panel pointed out that a fundamental requirement for this type of competition was that each entrant had an equal chance of being selected. This had not been the case due to the way the winner selection process had occurred,
making the competition intrinsically unfair
. For these reasons, the Panel upheld a breach of this paragraph of the Code.
Oh, and...
