When watching Deal or No Deal, when I watched the end credits, I was quite shocked, as the style they're in looked all to familar to me....

It's strange the producers chose an end credits style very similar to the one on my "productions". I doubt many people here are interested, but it suprised me to see a TV programme using something very similar to what I do.

Impressed that they gave away £33k (+£10k to a viewer) on an early evening gameshow . . .
Early evening? It's shown at 16:15. What time were you watching it at?
Fair enough- afternoon then
It's getting dark about 5pm ish nowadays- it's tempting to start calling it evening!

Deal or No Deal is getting just short of 2m. I know it fell slightly on Tuesday, but only by 100,000 or so, and not as significantly as Countdown.
Must be costing a fortune though! The average Deal or No Deal contestant so far is going away with more than the average Millionaire player! And to think last week C4's teatime offering was giving away £1000 a week.

They keep talking about Countdown but how are the audience figures for Deal or No Deal holding up?

I think Challenge wait until the programmes they want have finished on the network it started on in the hope of getting it cheaper due to it being out of production. I mean there's nothing on Challenge at the moment that's also on a mainstream channel.
Which would explain why Classic Millionaire only turned up on Challenge after ITV1 had finished with it, and Countdown hasn't turned up on Challenge yet.

One thing I've found suprising is that Challenge has never picked up Countdown, they've picked up virtually everything else. And I think it would fit well in their "Gameshow Gods" slot.

I'd be suprised to find that the older Countdown episodes would be that expensive though. And they were showing Family Fortunes when it was still in production- though I haven't seen them show the final Les Dennis series or the Andy Collins eps (though that's a blessing I guess)- correct me if I'm wrong though.
On a related note, they are also now showing the Nick Wier editions of Catchphrase. They used to show the early Catchphrase editions around 2000 (the ones made by TVS in the early 90s- I don't recall seeing any 80s eps), then they stopped until last year and I've only seen them show editions from 1994 & 1995 until this week- where they've skipped 5 years.

It was something I shoved together for the family- a mixture of them giving Xmas messages, clips from old Xmas home movies and clips of music vids of Xmas songs. It's something I put together in a couple of days. It's not Oscar winning material, and I doubt anyone outside my family would really be interested in it.
