It depends how they do it they said Glenn and Noel disscussed tampering with the show but decided if ent broke dont fix it. I reckon next season we could be now be looking for the first Half-Millionaire though as they need a new target.

Not at all IMO - the game is still as valid now as it was before the £250,000 was won as really it's about personal targets - not the target.

The higher jackpot on the Christmas shows didn't work IMO because you ended up beginning the show with ridiculously high offers - the £250k has been pitched just right so throughout the game the offers are genuinely a dilemma.

The 500th show can't be too far off though - and it wouldn't surprise me if they doubled the jackpot for that.

Given that half a million is pretty much the norm for the daily show on the continent (or was at any rate, many are now higher), the numbers have been proven to work, there's no real reason why they couldn't up it.

Looks like that Deal or No Deal will be taking a summer break again this year, with C4 commissioning a new show to replace it - Win My Wage, in which contestants can win the salary of one of eight panel members, who's income range from £3,500 to £100,000.

The pilot episode of Win my Wage was filmed at ITV Yorkshire’s Leeds Studios I believe. It was recorded on Friday 26th January. I was invited to the recording, but I did not go! Sounds a good show though!! Looking forward to it!!

Anyway, it's not getting a new set, just tweaks. "Big lightsabres instead of silver columns this year." Make of that what you will.

Interesting twist today - though ruined with a final twist..

Opening offer - a swap, and PJ swaped 19 for box 4.

Playing till the end he was left with his box 4, and then box 19 which he hadn't opened. With 1p and £75,000 left, the banker offer nothing but a swap and "Good luck".

He went on to win the penny.

Cruel, unfair - but brilliant - until the Banker had an uncharacteristically moment of compassion and offered the player the chance to win what the viewer won as well!

Do you think that was compassion, or them covering themselves for the barrage of complaints they could have got from upset people Cool

Yes and he ended up wiith £15,000 aswell it was the most amazing DOND twist yet. I loved the bit when that women was the only one to pluck-up the corrage to stand up.

It was Such a great Show!, I dare say if he only got the £1000 it may have still got complaints

They've been doing the "no final cash offer" on the continent for years , I did wonder when they'd start doing that over here.

I can't decide if I'm happy or sad that they didn't have the balls to go through with it properly, but it was exciting so there we are.

Oh really, you never said Laughing Seriosuly though, it was a good twist, i just feel that they had to offer him something afterwards, but then again you play the game - you play the game - so i assume the banker can change the rules at anytime!

But they've not even changed any of the rules, the Banker offered the minimum he was allowed to offer - the swap. I bet few people would have been complaining if he won the £75,000 instead.
