Right, I asked TV's Glenn Hugill, and TV's Glenn Hugil replied thus:

"Re: the power cut. A cable was severed in the next door unit by a digger and we lost all power to the studio. We were able to continue shooting because the steadicam and Noel and Kerry’s microphones are battery operated. The critical issue though was the desk, which is in a separate building, still had power so we could record what was being shot. We had a power cut once before but that time the whole area went out; so we couldn’t continue. The sound desk, which normally controls levels amongst other things went out though and if you listen carefully to Noel when he has the torch you can here his mike overload when he shouts as there was no way to limit it. We’ve tried to smooth it in the edit but you can still hear it."

So there you go.

Talking of being behind in the afternoon, More4's repeats seem to be screwed up. As they only schedule 5 daytime repeats - but there are obviously 6 episodes - with the daytime repeats they're getting further behind each week - they're about a fortnight behind now.

It kind of makes these repeats pointless as I imagine the main reason people tune in for them is if they miss the C4 edition the night before (either on C4 or More4 at 6pm).

Deal or no deal is not being filmed at the moment and when they again in the coming days it will be in a new look studio. I was down at Endemol West yesterday with my friend who builds the sets and also built and referbs the big brother house, and he has just been asked to remove the brainteaser set - because of the phone in thing.

Watch tomorrows deal or no deal a good show, quite funny they dress him up as a clown and also the bit with his glasses is good(Wednesday).

Careful on the spoilers (and if there's no clown, you'll be discredited!) but the time is about right for a new look studio. I'm assuming that would debut on air after the summer break.

Hope we get some new look titles too - perhaps keep the idea of the boxes in a factory, but rather than animated kind of making it look real would be effective IMO.

Would seem a bit pointless, if in fact is the case. I thought the wooden shed look was part of it's endearing quality, next they'll be having neon lights and 22 bimbos with silver briefcases. Not really necessary, Millionaire have had their set for almost a decade.

Although still by far dominating it's timeslot, year on year, DoND has lost around 1m viewers, about a 23% reduction.

It depends how they do it they said Glenn and Noel disscussed tampering with the show but decided if ent broke dont fix it. I reckon next season we could be now be looking for the first Half-Millionaire though as they need a new target.
But could you visulise Millionaire with much of a chance set?

It might of lost viewers 623059 but its still very much alive with great ratings!!! No Format could sustain the ratings they were getting.

Also, they have some proper competition now on ITV1. As long as it's still hugely profitable, I don't think they'll mind too much.
