Another good couple of games today - the first being twist free while the second not only had the £500,000 but again had the offers after each box in the final round (which works well occassionally I think) and the three gifts, which arguably made tonight's show all the better.

Also a nice montage at the end of highlights from the series.

I suspect though it's deliberately not as good as it's meant to be so they can bring out a new and improved version next year!

Yes and I bet the title will be "Beat the Banker" - The Official Deal Or No Deal DVD game .

My Nan seemed happy with the electronic hand game version anyway. Laughing

Did anyone grab a shot of the banker? (is it being repeated?) Can't believe I've been watching the show everyday for a year and missed this one!

The mobile phone version is quite good - although the offers are always way too high (£26,000 as the first offer, presumably because £250k is still in play Shocked )

It would have been ideal to wrap around the lottery draws on a Saturday on BBC One.

Name me one successful lottery show. There seems to be a different one on every time I watch it. If it had been picked up by the BBC, I'm sure it would have failed.

From what I have seen on the Internet, all these foreign vereins of Deal or no Deal seem to consist of old men, picking box being held by cheeses models. This excludes the Greek version which I watched while on holiday in Cyprus earlier this year.

The beauty of our version is that it has real people participating, with relationships forming from show to show until eventually the people behind the boxes are chosen to play the game themselves.

That's not quite fair, our version very much has its roots in other European daily versions, the Italian and French and Spanish shows really, all of which are much funnier than ours (and do the contestants staying in a hotel between recordings thing), but less witty really.

Along with the competition details. Whenever they normally show a repeat, the graphics are changed to say "Competition closed" or something similar.

I assume it is a mistake and they are't going to give another £50,000 away. The website says "Sorry, the competition is currently closed! The competition is open from 3pm Sunday to Friday."

EDIT: Just remembered, they didn't give the £50,000 away on Christmas day anyway. I think it might have been £5000 that was won.
