Sounds like someones' stealing continuity from Dead Ringers, as they had that joke with similar wording this week.

The E4 continuity is great though - they get away with loads they shouldn't.

Loved all the stuff around Hollyoaks when they changed Claire and the CA kept going on about how "new Claire" was evil and that "Old Claire wouldn't have done that!".

They also regularly take the piss out of themselves for showing so much Friends and Big Brother!

It's amazing no one worked it out already - it's getting pretty obvious now the banker is in fact Mr Blobby!

I hope this is merely an ironic reference to the fact that every other messageboard in the known universe has already had this joke on it several billion times. Because otherwise, I would have to kill you.

That "laughing" has been played a few times before against Noel's chest. I wonder if that is a recording. The banker is actually the series producer Glen Hughill.

No it isn't a recording. Last nights laugh was a very bad quality laugh - the others in the past have sounded like a theatric laugh down a normal phoneline.

What has happened to Joseph?

He's disappeared without playing, or any explanation that I've seen.

Normally if they are ill it is mentioned, and the space is left empty (unless more than one player is ill, then a new player is bought in a day early).

They've been lining him up as the banker's biggest threat throughout the week - and his show would be one worth watching.

Maybe what Noel said on 'Friday Night With Jonathon Ross' a few weeks ago about paying the £250,000 winner off in favour of not airing the show was true after all?

Sorry but I find the afternon programme, which admittedly I only see occasionally, incredibly drawn-out as it is. I saw some of tonight's and it was just ridiculous - thin material stretched to breaking point.

As for the contestant, what a bore - and all that 'look at me' nonsense for an extra £1.

Can't see it having the longevity of WWTBAM or even The Weakest Link, never mind 15-to-1 or Countdown.

From another forum, they claim he was taken ill during the weekend of 7-10th April. He was replaced, and has an invitation to return back to the show when he is ready.

Surprised nobody has mentioned this. Apparently Noel has developed a case of Repetitive Strain Injury (or RSI in computing terms) from picking up the banker's phone show after show. Hmm, what an old woman he's becoming. Wink

Was there anything mentioned on Countdown today about it being a year since Richard died? Unfortunately I forgot to tune in... does anyone know when it's due to be repeated on More4?
