Today's show proved it.
At the same stage as Suzanne took £47,000, Drew had a similar board with the £5k, £100k and £250k in play - but with better numbers still in play underneath (mid-reds as opposed to low reds) - yet was offered £25,000.
I'd have also thought the banker would consider a former Tax Inspector a more formidable opponent than a swimming instructor.

I don't like this woman on Deal today. She's one of those agressive sounding, "COME ON!!!" types (or at least she was when I tuned in just now).
It's really nippy. Can't they think of something else to say?

I thought I might have judged her harshly until she said, "If you fink I'm mad, you wanna meet me brother Kev".
No thanks, dear.

What does anyone think of the 8pm specials of DOND this week? I think they don't work some how... firstly it seems the programmes are padded out with a lot of tedious chitchat.
Secondly I think the 'Hall of Fame' segments break a lot of the tension of the main part of the programme. It all feels very disjointed

Just like the Saturday show.

Its nice to see the old clips don't get me wrong but I do agree that it breaks up the tension which makes DOND good viewing.
What I think it does do is bolster C4's line up when they are going against live football and provide a credible alternative, eg tonight is DOND, BB and Lost.

This evening for the second time we heard the banker laughing, this time by Noel putting the phone to his mic. Anyone manage to capture it?

Didn't it sound as if the banker was talking through one of those voice-altering devices? It sounded really low... or am I the last to notice that!

As an aside I did like E4's continuity at 8pm last night. "Unless you're a student or jobless, you've probably not seen Deal or No Deal.....(bit more blurb then).... So if you have a job and actually work for a living, catch Deal or No Deal right now on Channel 4"
Poor day financially today, ending on a fiver.
