She skived off work for two weeks - and she's a teacher! That would be grounds for dismissal surely!
according to the news they supported her auditioning so common sense should tell them she would need time off work to do the show if she got through
when she did get through they refused the time off, but she took it off anyway
so they changed their minds about the time off which she could only take it when the show was being recorded.
and they did not think she would cope with a big win and it would effect her ability to do the job
sounds like bosses just being bloody minded for the sake of it.
