Fridays show saw the third member of the 1p club revealed - and I think the biggest 1p gamble, with an offer of just over £7000 rejected in favour of a gamble for 1p or £35,000. Fadil lost the game - but as he was playing to win money for his wife, Oona becomes an honourary member of the 1p club!

To be honest he was right to No Deal. £7,000 is nowhere near a fair offer, it should have been nearer £17,000 in my opinion.

Who said it had to be fair? Surely one of the points of the banker's offers are for them to be resonably unfair, to entice the player to carry on and thus create a more enjoyable and exciting programme to watch.

Yes he won 10p. Nick was the first 1p winner around late November.

Pardon me.

It's not that complicated... Raj (however its spelt) was NOT the first 1p winner as he won 10p, therefor he wouldn't be refered to as being in the 1p club.

I appear to have got the date wrong regarding Nick Bain's 1p win. It was actually January 3rd, sorry. I could have sworn it was much earlier than that.

I've just watched nicks deal or no deal episode. 1p how tiny is that! However in Australia we've had 2 instances where people have won nothing.

I must say though the UK version is extremely dull and cheap. Wooden floorboards, old telephone, cardboard boxes, just doesn't seem big and fast paced as the show should be.

I don't think Endemol realised that it would originally be such a hit. Obviously the cheap studio and boxes were incase the show bombed. I'd like to see it revamped sometime, especially the telephone and boxes.

Actually i think our DOND has quite a charm to it, you only have to look at the American version to see a big flashy studio etc just looks tacky.

Exactly - the same story goes for Countdown really!
