Another two firsts for Deal or No Deal tonight:

1) The £100k was in the contestant's box for two shows running.
2) Somebody got thrown out of the studio for standing up during the audience sweep. It looked cold outside.

Who threw them out? Was it serious or a joke?

Noel did but I don't know if he was let back in or not during the commercial break.

And dark. I didn't realise DOND was recorded so late.

They do 3 a day and of course the current ones would have been recorded before the clocks went back.

I missed today's. Presumably it was a Barrymore style throwing out?

Forward

He was basically the only one to stand up, meaning he would deal in her situation at £12.9K. Noel took the microphone up to him so everyone could hear. As he was in the minority Noel kind of belittled him, showed him a red card and took him down to the exit.

The shows were are seeing now were recorded in Mid Feb. Roughly it's a 6-8 week gap between recording and transmission.

What was interesting about the 'ejection' was the guy who said deal at 12k was - he was right to say it. She didn't get that much increase in the offers from then on from the banker.

What? She was offered 71K in the final phonecall.

Would the banker have really offered 27K when the two boxes left were £100 and 75K? Seems a bit dodgy to me, I'm sure they've been a bit higher than that in the past. Confused

In the past they have been higher, but recent the standard has been it's about 1/3 of the way between the two remaining boxes.

I wonder how long before Endemol are tempted to do a Celebrity Deal or No Deal ?

Is this weeks the last 'primetime' episode ? Back to teatime next week onwards, Saturday ratings are usually down on your usual weekday episodes anyway.

Probably is - we've definately had more than the planned six, and with Dr Who back next week I don't think C4 will opt for the head to head (unfortunately - I know which I'd watch!)

If it wasn't for Deal on Saturday nights I wouldn't watch anything at the moment!

As for Celebrity Deal or No Deal - I hope not, the celeb "specials" have killed Millionaire IMO - mainly as they seem to be every few weeks. I'm sure I'm not the only one who remembers a time when Celebrity specials aired only at Christmas or for Comic Relief / Children in Need.

Saying that though, it would really bring a new dimension to the game in people playing for charity. Even if you are the biggest gambler, would you gamble money won for charity?
