i just dont know y instead of random people reading out how much is goin to be given away, Lucy was repeated twice(same message). Can't they just use the player who's currently playing's recording, it'd make a lot more sense.
You can't lose in a situation like that because whatever happens you will get a ton of money. There's a smaller difference between £125,000 & £75,000 than between 1p and £250,000.

Its like the lady said in a previous game, paraphrased: If you will be happy on the money you get if you lose the gamble, it's worth the risk.
Personally speaking, I think it was a gamble well worth the risk. Quite a percentage of the population would have been happy with the £51k offer, never mind £75k+. Anything else would be just a bonus in my book. Seeing her win the £250k would have been sweet for the action of a swap.
Obviously if you've got left something far ranging, such as £50 and £75k, then yes, an offer of around £45k would be the sensible thing to deal at. Turn THAT down and you can be classified as being mad. Gambling with £75k and £250k on the board isn't madness in my eyes.
Just a thought - if C4 had known how successful Deal or No Deal would be, do you think they'd have bothered replacing Richard Whitely on Countdown?
Or held onto Richard and Judy for that matter. Channel 4's line-up is formidable from 4.15 to 6.00pm. Here we have two shows that are perfect for each other as Deal gets a big audience and Paul O'Grady holds onto most of it, something that Richard & Judy never did on a regular basis.
Going in we all thought that Countdown with Des as host would be the big news story instead it's a show about guessing and opening boxes. If Noel got the Countdown gig and Les Dennis got DOND how different would things have been?
1) The £100k was in the contestant's box for two shows running.
2) Somebody got thrown out of the studio for standing up during the audience sweep. It looked cold outside.
